BA engine switch

Hey guys.

Around the end of the year im looking to take out my 1.8L 4 Cyl in my 96 BA Astina, and replace it with a more powerful engine + Turbo with all the pretty add ons.

Not being much of a engine tech head, im asking all you pros out there what kind of engine would make the ideal fit for my car. Or is it worthwhile just to place a turbo on my 1.8L (maybe get the 2L 6cyl?) but forge the pistons etc etc....

I was thinking maybe the Nissan 2.4L 240SX engine might fit well?

this maybe a stupid question, but im a stupid kind of guy.

cheers!

the only engine that will go in no fuss will be the BPT 1.8lt turbo. theres heaps of posts on conversions for this engine.

all the other ideas like nissan engines etc would cost you an arm and a leg and a left testicle and even then your probarbly goping to run into issues anyway.

cheers mike
