i'd think a $100ea is good enough to say "i'm in" and ... money talks.

i think we'd be in a good position going to them with even $500 and saying ok, here's a deposit for 5 guys. i'm going to these other two places to get quotes as well. gimme your best shot. obviously more mulah (ie ppl) the better

OK, here is the deal, at best u shouldn't be witout ur car for 3 hours at the best...

1 hour to install (that's what they'll tell you it takes) but more like 35 minutes.
2 hours on a dyno

Here is a option for all you guys interested in MTs

Supply MT $1050
Fit $150
Dyno $ 240
Total $1440

This is what my Mt cost me, if you guys are interested i can inquire about prices as i think things may have change since i last checked

I think we would want the Lt series as the Mt series is not reprogramable from what ive heard

MT is short text for MicroTech, please read the post before making statements - I have a LTX-8s as i want the ability to fully program also. Plus it goes onto the BA's with litte trouble.

Whats the difference between the two, LT-8 and the LTX-8, and did you pay $1050 for it or $1095?

I cant remember the big differences between LTX-8s and LT-8 cos they're the older ECUs, but the difference would now be the same as the LT8s and the LT10s. The LT8s is only programmable for the engine where the LT10s can also do things like a/c or thermo fans, electric water pumps, plus more.

Cost should have been $1195 for ine but I got a deal for it as $1050. Sweet deal. Friends in high places. Hahahaha.

x is the inbuilt igniter (i think) and the rest is just newer models

Anyhow, I don't think the LTX8 matters much on our cars unless you want to get the coil packs replaced. I won't be doing that after spending big $$$ on magnecor leads...
How much is the LT10? It must be very recent, as when I was chasing up pricing late last year there was no mention of it.
Ryan: They probably just charge you $1050 since that is the reccomended retail on the LT8S, whatevert the difference is, it doesn't sounds like you missed out. But you SHOULD be able to hand tune via a laptop connector or the hand controller, and then there is another small screen thing aswell, all at extra cost mind you...

ok ... so final cost is looking at how much?

i would be interested but am only really after mods that can be carried over to a turbo set up ... obivously this would be a great benifit to a BPT ... but all i hear is how my car runs rich, or has a **** idle, or i only get 200 klm's to a tank... ok maybe thats the whole turbo thing ... but i need some convincing ...

Get A Hand Job Hahaha

All the Mircotech ECUs except the fuel rail ones can be crossed over to the turbos, that why i got mine, turbo goes in, reload new BPT mapping settings and start again, easy.

GAV: - I do have a hand controller for mine but i'm buggered if i can find it, its been lost for over 6 months now. It cost $150. The small screen thingy you talked about is a "Dash-Mount Controller" ($495 - big expense.) A mate has 1 on his Pulsar GTiR, they are cool but not worth the extra money.

If you guys are gonna go thru with this deal, I wiuld highly recommend that 1 of you, if not all of you get and hand controller... It can hold four map settings (programs) in it so you can have different setting for different occasions.

MY FOUR MAPS: -
1. Normal driving setting (for day to day driving)
2. Low fuel setting (for highway driving - 700km from 1 tank)
3. Race setting (big boost - 350km from tank, ouch)
4. BPT on 4th spot for when the BPT goes in!

just borrow a laptop - thanks puppa snert

$100ea i think is enough to make them listen, however i'd be pretty sure we'd need to plonk down another $400ea to sign up so to speak.

final price - dont want to promise anything until i know for sure. however ryan has given us a pretty good indication of where to think (hopefully below that)

unfortunately not everyone can afford this now. however, you can be one of the first to get in and set - prob 1 month away. i'll be seeing the companies on 21 may (reason why everyone that wants to lock in has to pay me $100 by 20 may.
