New tyres

Well its that time again and I need new tyres. The current ones I have are Yokohama Advan A460 from memory in 195/50/R16 and have been brilliant. Looking around and can get the Advan C Drives in the same size or possibly the Toyo Proxes T1-R's.

Anyway was just wondering what everyones thoughts are as I don't mind paying extra for tyres as long as they grip really well and last for quite a while. Any other brands as well I will look at. Also was looking at going to a wider tyre but keeping the same rolling diameter.

Cheers Jarrod

Trouble with Yokies are that they are way over rated and far to expensive especially if you only get 25,000 kms from them I have had some good runs from the GT radials and the ones I am running on my 17"s on my SP20 are very good in both rain and dry

They are a bit on the expensive side yet my current set did me for 3 years and about 50,000kms so am very pleased for it.

195/50R16? very rare size, try 205/45R16 if you are running 16x7 size rims. much cheaper and more brands available.
