Very very neat indeed... Could you hook up the front pipe off the CAI to move the filter out of the engine bay? If so, that'd be a mad combo.
I'd also like to know how much... Without fitting tho, i've got my own workshop. Where do the turbo's oil lines hook up to? |

Andrew_SP20
the intercooler pipes are in the bar where you need the CAI to go therefore making the ultimate plan fall to shame... i first had that i dea and i thought how much better it would be... ie...more polished stuff... in theory coler air (even though its going through a cooler) and more legal because a cop can't tell you that he can defect you for the pod... the oil return line goes to the bottom of the oil pan....

haha... ill remember that... =)
anyway the spearco cooler goes well... does WAY more than is necessary for the boost that the kit runs out of the box.... all the other kits that they sell in the US doesnt have anywhere near the amount of cool little things like a cooler of stand alone fuel management

ahh very good question...
firstly i will answer the question asked earlier... turbo: IHI T03 ok well the kit retails at $8500 and is installed for $1000 and takes only two days. the kit comes with: - custom manifold - custom spearco/street dreams front mount intercooler - IHI T03 turbo - Haltech F10 stand alone fuel management with all sensors and maps with direct loom connection - Haltech boost solenoid to control boost over RPM - polished stainless piping and coloured silicone hosing in red or blue - HKS plump back blow off valve - pod filter - all brackets, screws, pipes, nuts, bolts and hosing along with detailed instructions... options for upgrade: - Haltech E6X igniton computer - JE forged pistons (8:1 instead of stock 9:1) and pauter rods - 440CC injectors and replacement fuel pump - performance clutch rated up to 280whp - all the turbo timers, gauges and options you could think of, we can hook you up =) i am more than happy to answer any other questions about the kit that anyone happens to have... i would also like to add that as i own our first car (which i have driven for a considerable time everyday without propblem) which is an astina and this is the astinagt site, we will more than happily give a discount for group buys etc.... we also stock SP20 eye lids, polished CAI's, and soon a range of custom body kits for the SP20 we have a dyno figure, but sadly the old standard clutch died during the power run so we are yet to get official figures.... hope thsi answers everything that might be lingering

I for one would really like to check the wee beastie out.
Is the car available for a drive to see what you get for the $$ in the way of performance/driveability etc?

Can I ask more of my famous dumb questions?
[dumb questions] You keep saying "we".... do you have an interest in the company? do you have a % or shares? do you own the company? do you work in the company? are you a stakeholder in StreetDreams? and you talk about the SP20's so is there anything for the other model Astina's? you mentioned discounts for AstinaGT members, but in another thread you spoke about clear side indicators costing $50 a set... is that with the discount applied? how much is the AstinaGT discount? 10% 20% 30% more? because you say 'we' a lot, I am assuming that you can offer the discount, so how much will it be? you are going to offer a range of custom bodykits, will you also be buying and offering the custom body kit done by odd12c? [/dumb questions] Cheers, Kitty |

hopefully this will answer all quesitons stated above... sorry for the late reply havent been able to check for about 2 days now...
Critter - the "wee beasty" is available for a test drive... as long as you can call before coming in to make sure the car is here and not out on a joy ride =p Kitty: - I personally have no interst in the company financially, The workshop was setup by my mate, and i never left. I take part in constant work/decisions at the workshop, i promote it as much as i can to dealers etc... and get to do the cool stuff that comes with having a workshop, just without the financial burden 8) - The turbo kits, mazda stuff etc is searched out by me, with the market for them being helped by me as i own one (and why wouldnt you ) - I can get you a discount on the turbo kits for members if bought in a group buy yes - We currently don't have much for older model astina's because sadly the market in australia isnt as big for our cars as in the US, although on that note i will add, if you would like to get something, i will so my very best to get it to you at a competitive price. "We" as in the workshop are happy to get parts in from the states, even with bigger items although there would have to be a 50/50 payment arrangement - "We" do body kits for anything, and not just cars. Bikes, custom dashes. Anything in fibreglass or carbon fibre is no problem. If you want a bar we dont have in stock, we can simply mould it and give you a perfect replica, not a dodgy quick mould of a mould of a mould. Carbon, fibre glass, and GT wings are also no problem - "We" currently don't have any thoughts of "buying" odd12c's body kit... i think if i had spent the money to get a custom kit as he has i wouldnt be to happy to let someone take a mould anyway... do you agree ? i hope this helps things. At the end of the day i am just a mazda owner with the goods willing to help others of my kin =). I wouldnt be telling you about what i can offer people if I myself hadn't tried the product myself and was 100% happy (other staff at the workshop will quickly point out the most anally retentive person there  ) i would stil like to add that because i own a mazda astina, i am not just a "front" for "we" but am a car enthusiast with the mod bug cronically. So if anyone wants to cruise or anything else car related i am more than happy to take part... </end of 2nd huge post >
