City2Surf - Sydney

Did anyone see it on the TV? hehe... I was in it and boy do I ache today!!!

Was all good fun though. Came in the top half. Not bad for someone who didn't train at all and didn't stop once throughout the whole 14km walk haha.

Got a bit of a shock the next day though when I heard through a friend that someone died. 26yr old male. I'm only 20 and that shocked me. Guess he pushed himself too hard. Just 200 yards off the finish too.

Thanks guys. Considering I ache and walk like a robot at the moment... I had a good time. Finished before a ton of other people. Name was published in the The Sydney Telegraph today and I completed it in 2hrs 31mins. WOOHOO... not bad for a first timer who didn't train

I know that streach like the back of my hand. I dirve it alot
I use to drive it so often it was not funny.
Funny just before they close the lot of it off with no cars parked everyyear me and few guys Do a few quick up and downs. Usually get one up and one down it. Untill some other people tell us we should not be. But this year we got in an easy 4 times.

I don't see why anyone would want to Run it - better off driving it and driving it as hard as you can.

Oh and I think you will find some of those people who die - usually it's other problems assosiated. IT's funny the ones who start off drunk and still pissed athe end of the line.

I did it this year as well, first time doing it, what did you think of Heart Break Hill? It was so embarrassing trying to walk up and down the stairs at uni yesterday, every step was painful so I was using all these crazy angles :P

Only thing that sucked was I didn't get a time, I was a yellow but started with the blues so I missed out on a time

Haha... I didn't see anyone drunk. Just lots of really tired people around me lol. Oh and a few people running around in their underwear painting in bright colours!

Oh that sucks. Silly you though for starting with my group! lol. I got a time of 2hrs 31mins and today they sent me the video of when I crossed the finished line. I laughed so hard when some really fat guy was in front of me when we crossed the line. But by the time I got to 2kms to go my ankles started to ache really bad but I kept going.

Heartbreak Hill didn't bother me at all really. I expected it to be ALOT worse than it was. To be honest, I think I was too focused on my thinking and listening to my music that I didn't really tire out at all... luckily! How did you fair on the hill? OMG... and how upsetting was it when you are halfway up the hill and you look across to the left and you can see everyone still walking up the hill through the gap in the valley. That sucked!!!

The hill was a bit of a mission, but it wasn't too overly bad. From how it was was described to me, I was expecting a mount Everest, but that wasn't the case at all. The best part was turning around and looking at the people still at the bottom
