The one time i let a mate shift was when he asked to do it. I didn't really see anything going wrong as its only shifting and i had control of clutch break steering.

I have seen people do stupid things while driving, e.g drinking allowing person in back to do gears, and front passanger steer the car. Now that was scary. Another one was a mate changing his shirt while others steered, glad i wasn't there for that one.

i've seen the passenger steering on with the driver changing shirt and being told to accelerate or decelerate.. it was the car next to me . looked over and was like WTF. decided to get a decent distance away before they hit something

The kit i baught from lifestyle isn't too bad. I haven't had problems with trying to change into 1st, 3rd or 5th while having a drink in the holder. The only issue i've had with the thing is that my headunit sticks out really far with the screen open and ya cant fit a drink in the holder (unless you want it sitting on a 45 degree angle) so yeh for now, the drink holder isn't being used.

Its either back to lifestyle for just a simple pocket or make an extension so the current kit sits out a little further... haven't decided yet... not bored enough to try and figure it out.
