i would say the absolute best thing would be to buy two damn powerful mono-blocks and run the subs off those..
i think you would be happy with a 4 channel amp that packs a punch. bridge it so you are running each sub off two channels. theres so many options really. Are your subs dual voice coil? if they are the setup becomes more complicated.... |

Two mono blocks are always going to be better - period.
But it depends on what your after and cost wise. All out mono block can't go past but having said that cheaper larger two channel bridged or a a single large 4 channel bridged two. again usually cheaper. But also remember if you really going to run big power. two large mono's will suck less then any of the bridged the 4channel will suck more to do it's job. but you usually find it will be the same install setup in terms of power supply. 1000W don't mean crap. really what's continues output and effiency ratings etc. I've seen quite few 1000W subs in my day and I've had cheaper 500W do better job. I don't do mobile audio anymore -since my back went out - installs are too hard. But even working large home theatre, So many people out there buying some real nice stuff and then making silly choices on certain aspects. like putting a cheap arse pionner or kenwood Av with real hi-end style speakers costing 5times the AV unit because it looks better. Yet they sound totally CRAP. Go have listen to them as well - I keep telling people that because - alot of people find out it does not play There music or it does not work right for them. If you like RnB etc sure 12's are the go but - if you listen to Rock and more band gear a 10inch is cleaner. 15inch is really stupid and so's a 18's ( coming from someone who had a 15installed with 2 gauge wire) But just remember are you going for right out thump out the car next to you Or decent listening pleasure. I did a setup desgin for a VU ute using twin 8 inch 8ohm germany speakers. not only thump out most other cars but clarity of the AC/DC was perfect. Metallica right on. Size is not always everything it just helps |

1000W is max power I presume? If so, what bourbs said, 2 single channels or 2 channels bridged...
If you wanted 2 mono amps, cant go pasts Alpines MRP350 350wrms mono amps, they kick arse for wha they are...
