Hey Mike;
I'm not sure if using tinting film would be a good idea as it'll peel off or come off later on.

Best way is to spray black tint onto the indicators and then spray a coat of clear on top to get that glossy/shinny look on them. The previous owner of my astina got her panel beater to do it to her side indicators and rear lights. [/colorost_uid1]

No, use film. Film can peel off when u want it. Its illegal to tint it, so if they wanna defect u, u just peel it off. ::[/colorost_uid0]

another option......
for the taillights, use women's stockings.
they have all sorts of colours and finishes.
unscrew the taillights (all three of them), pick your fave colour of the day, and "wear" the stocking to the lights, fold the ends and screw them back onto the car.
when you get pulled over by the cops, rip them out in front of them, no troubles. you can change any colours you want.
in my earily earily days, i have used flat black, shinny black, flat white and shinny white stocking for my taillights.
i suppose you can use the same principle for the side indicators. i would not recommed the headlights thought, unless it is used for show display purposes.[/colorost_uid0]

It depends how dark the tint is for it to be defective I think. Hey Eric, have you got any pics that you can post up of your tail lights with stockings covering them? I've heard of that being done a while back, but haven't seen it in person yet so would be intereted to see what it looks like!

Cheers;
Daniel[/colorost_uid1]
