so what should i do? swap the green wires? i pulled all the cables off the relay before and it still had the same problems.
there are 4 wires coming from the Relay two green ones, a yellow one and a white one (which they don't mention in the picture but you can see it comming out of the relay below the yellow wire) i spliced this one onto green wire, then attached them both to the ign (barrel side)

geetee i'm thinking i have done it wrong.. but i don't know why :? i cut the wire on the switch that when cut meant depressing the brake did not light the brake lights, when connected it did.. i spliced the orange wire onto the cut wire (along with reconnected teh other peice of wire), which as far as i can tell from the diagram is what i was meant to do.

whether the brake plug is pulled or not. as soon as i arm the car the alarm goes off (presuming the door is closed)

if the door is open (whether brake plug is in or not) the car waits about 15 seconds, sounds three times, then wait another 15 or so seconds and the alarm goes off.

if you have the orange wire on the wrong side of the brake switch it will be receiving 12v.
the alarm is telling you this by beeping after 15 secs.
it must be receiving voltage from somewhere, and the current sensing is kicking in.
