So does anyone have a source for these? If I get the car I'm looking at I'll need a driver's side a-pillar.

Zomg that's massive! I ended up getting a passenger-side one from someone on ebay for $65 including postage from QLD. All it needed was a little bit of contact cement on the lining bits.

having rung mazda, i know why they arent at wreckers, because mazda are charging $162 per side (L&R)!!!!

has anyone else had this problem? and, if anyone knows where i can find good a-pillar trim panels cheaper than mazdas price, can you let me know?????

Try this mob for new trims:

www.mitsubishiwreckers.net.au

Back in July when I enquired they had them new for $175 a pair (+$15 for express post).

Another possibility is buying them in from NZ:

http://www.mazlinepartsworld.co.nz/

although the exchange rate is nowhere near as good as it used to be and shipping makes it worse.

just bought a pair through Mazline. total came to $291 inc shipping and they are brand new. that's a saving of $110 if you bought them through mazda.

Back in July when I enquired it was around $210/pair shipped. Oz peso has suffered even against the NZD

Arg! i was drivin behind a truck on my last trip to perth and i saw a rock fly up, moved the car to the side but it took out my left pillar :@ I should have let it hit the glass, seems easier to find a new window then those pillars. Guess this trip to perth i'll spend ages going around the mazda wreckers, need a few other spare parts too
