Sinking
Hey All
My BA was already lowered when I bought it and I had the front springs replaced almost immediately as I was bottoming out on even the smallest bumps. However, I was looking at the back of my car the other day and (I kid you not) one side is lower than the other - it sinking  Do I need to replace the back springs too? Any advice would be great - if they do then I might get the rear sway bar fitted at the same time  Cheers |

It sounds like the springs you bought were manafactuered incorrectly
Springs usually sag because of heat. I would take the springs back or send a photo to them to ask what you can do.

hi buddy
i would say its common sence to do the backs as well because u have new up front an u dont how old the others are anyway , possibly it may only have cut springs in it too , an depending who put them in there is a left an right spring [in most cases] its marked because the right is set a few mm higher to count for the driver being in the car most of the time one up an poeple that think they just wack in a set off springs end up with the wrong one in the wrong side causing the car to be lower on 1 side if ur left side is a bit lower sit some-one in it if it comes level leave it if it is the other way around replace them

The PO probably lowered the car with an oxy set or angle grinder... That would have relieved some of the tension in the springs steel and they'll 'sag' at odd rates quite quickly. Springs rely on the forming stress in the steel (and other things) to maintain their hardess and durability. re-heat them and loose that and there can be all sorts of dramas
Best thing to do is to replace the pair to match the fronts. (ie if you fitted King springs to the front, fit the matching rears) A.
