Changing fog light bulbs...

hey all,
Im planning on changing my headlights in my BJ sp20 to some Phillips Vision Plus Performance Globes... there about 5000K so they shud be fairly blue/white in colour...
It made me realise that it will probably make my fog lights quite yellow...
How do i change the globes? The headlights are easy, but there seems to be alot of stuff blocking me geting the fog globes out from under the front bar? Do i have to take the front bar off?
also would anyone know wat size the lights are? H1 H2 etc.
any help! thanx!

Dave

I put crystal vision in my head lights and yeah the fogs do look hella yellow.

I have the standard BJ, on my fogs there is a little hole that has a flap with a metal clip holding it down, much the same as the way headlight globes are held in. I have read before that the SP20 unit is much the same, get under you car and have a look, if it is the same it's kinda obvious. You should not need to get your front bar taken off to change the globes. I could be wrong tho.

As far as globes go I dont know, I am yet to buy crystal visions for my fogs as well...

I think BlackSP may have already done this???

sp20 fogs are h3 bulbs and are easy to swap. take the light out, take the mounting plate off, take the backing plate off, remove the clip and out comes the bulb. peice of cake.

yes i have crystal vision bulbs and i dont think they are worth changing , as new bulbs do change the colour of the bulb much and further aid in vision

so u reackon i should just leave the standard fogs in? I dont think the fogs really do a whole lot from my point of view, it was mainly the colour

i have piaa bulbs in my fogs and put out a blue-ish light. it's just a good filler for the low beams so i can have the low beams focused further down the road

yeh its lots of dollers just to change the colour... I was thinking more along the lines of the phillips diamond vision ones, much more blue... but for around $150 a pair i think ill just put up with the standards for a while...

i wouldnt bother with the diamond vision. According to the "expert" at autObarn, the extra blue cuts out more light making them less powerful lights...crystal vision seem to be the pick of the range, still exy tho. Like twilight said, get the cheapo ones just for colour...
