02 sp20 timing belt

my car has just clicked over 100 000klms so its time to do the timing belt. my dads able to do it but needs a work shop manual. where can i get the info from without having to pay $1100 from mazda for a manual.

Oh, I think they like you to change the tensioner bearings at the same time too...

also i have since realised that there is another way to undo the crankshaft bolt

- bit backyard, but hell it works, brace a breaker bar between your suspension arms, and put with socket onto the crankshaft bolt.... get out of the way - into the car would be good, now crank the car over, just long enough to break the seized threads apart

Complete Timing Belt kit suit SP20 inc. tensioner and seals etc. with a Gates belt $262...

Can also get Dayco if i try hard enough, but for an equivalent quality product, the gates belt tend to be cheaper... The seals and bearings etc. will all be the same...
