When I had a healthy ZE in mine with CAI and FPR I would usually get 500km regularly out of mine and that was on 98 octane

That's about what I get with a KF-DE. I tried premium for a while but I had no noticable improvement in economy, performance or driveability.

I did 95 on the 929 and advanced the timing to suit but the timing is set on the K series.

reason:-
BP is made in sydney then shipped up here - dirtier and older.
Caltex is made in Brisbane and shipped from there - cleaner and newer.

To all the BP fuel lovers: I could barely get up the range to warrick last time I went to NSW in the Astina (filled up at Goodna, so it was well through the system). After I chucked some sweet Caltex Vortex back in the car first chance I could get, she was choice again, and ready to conquer the Guyra range. Caltex FTW!

there heaps of people posting posts that have no relivance to the thread.. how many k's you get from a I4 BG Astina doesn't help a V6 BA Astina owner asking about V6 fuel consuptions. There are heaps of threads for BG fuel consuption you know....

Other way round?

All 91 fuel sold in Brisbane is made in Brisbane. Same with *most* 95. Caltex Vortex (both 96 and 98) are excellent fuels, and my choice. A mate of mine who co-drives is a Chemist for BP here in Brisbane, and even from his mouth, Caltex Vortex were the go. They're lower in arimatics (sp?), meaning they're more friendly for cars that haven't been tuned to run a better fuel...

All 98 and 100 fuels are shipped from the manufacturers respected depots, BP Brisbane and WA, Caltex Sydney, and Shell Melbourne and WA.

I think...

When I was doing a project at Shell Corio all the brand tankers filled there. The only difference was that they would put the various additives in as they were filling the tankers.
