Removing orange from front bar lamp

Anyone done this? Trying to do it today and having real difficulty, can't get the freaking lens off. Get one tab out and then when I go to do another it slips right back under.

Chuck them in an oven for a while (low temp), and that'll make the glue more malleable.

Then once they're warm, stretch the 2 pieces a littl bit apart, and cut the glue that's still between the 2 parts with a knife.

Yeah I've done that with the boiling water too, I stretch them apart as much as I can, but I see no glue, the gap between the lip of the lense and the grey "body" part is about 8mm, its just the plastic of the lense I see. Thats as far as I could stretch it anyway.

Stretch them further then!

and screwdrivers under the tabs to keep it up.

from memory you have to pull them out fairly straight as they have quite a long plastic bit that goes into the housing.

Heh, easier said then done, I can't get them any further. I've been doing it with two flat screw drivers, and they have their stretching limits. I can't seem to stretch it with my hands. Any better utensils?

that link doesnt work for me...with boiling water you have to leave them in there for a while...and dont worry about the clips at the back...there only there to hold the lens on while the glue dries
