Introducing NATDAT racing :D

The oppertunity came knocking so i took it! When my mate with a datsun 1200 ute took me to have a look at this 1200 sedan that i had seen around the place i had to buy it! It will be perfect for entry level motorsport including hill climbs / motorkana's / autocross / track work and road rallies. As a bonus it is going to road registered so i will probably get it down to BWCP as well (and dont forget nebo )

Originally it was built up using the standard A12 engine with a snail bolted on the side. when this blew a worked L16 (with L18 crank giving 1774cc) was put in (built by a bloke tha tlives 5 mins away from me) with most of the hard work done, just needs the finishing touches to get her running.

as she stands atm :

S13 front end (cross member, brakes, suspension)
Coilovers all round, koni yellows in the front, reds in the rear
Sports seats and belts
1800cc engine
Locked Diff
Skyline box
All complied except for the engine which came out of a 1200 rally car so that will be no problems

PICCA's :

Once its on the road i will take it out to a couple of meets and see how things go, if i can put down some good times and get a few good results i will try and gather some sponsorship.

anyway i will keep you all posted ... The next two weeks will be huge trying to get the car on the road, but after that it should be a strong competitive car

Looks like you'll get a lot of enjoyment out of that.

If you ever want to go from L18 to Z18 I've got almost an entire engine sitting in the back room (It never made it to the shed ).
Forged pistons, Head, Inlet manifold, Turbo dizzy, All the EFI including ECU and loom, Exhaust manifold (TO3 outlet), 5 speed gearbox etc.......
