Smile Newbie :p , sp20 question

Hey guys, the names adem. I recently bought a 2002 323 astina sp20 at 130,000 km. I was wondering what fuel I should use for it. The previous owner used to use 98 unleaded, but I recently refilled it with 91 unleaded. Should I keep using ROM 91 or cough up and start using ROM 98.

Welcome to AGT

SP20s need 95 RON or above, as specified by Mazda.

Thanks! Much appreciated . Would it be ok if I were to drive and finish off the 91 that's in the tank?

Should be fine, I'd just fill it with 98 once you've used half a tank

!! Welcome To AstinaGT !!

Yeap what Rupe said.
Ive only fill mine with 98, a couple times I fill with 95 but every now and then I hear like a ping (pingging) sound its not bad but annoys me with 95 so the last year and a half it been 98 only from BP and no pingging sound at all.

Any plans for the car ? Mods ? Or just leave it standard ?

Thanks . At the moment i dont really have anything in mind. Going to give it a nice respray (some panels are faded) and maybe black rims. Would you recommend anything?

I put 95. I once put in half a tank of 91 to try and had no pinging and ran just fine. I drove normal though, no revving past 5000rpm. Might be an issue then with 91ron.
