i would think it would signal the central locking module.
if someone has pictures of module and wiring info then i can research further, what signal does data line send for lock/unlock?

On my BJ the receiver is mounted in the boot near the fuel tank filler inside the boot lining.
From memory it sends a positive signal to lock and a negative to unlock. Im prob wrong however. |

if it is just keyless entry, then any system should work in any car. if it is keyless + immobilizer, well that is a different story.

they both should just be keyless entry modules as the immobiliser on both bj2j48 and mazda 3 works with transponders in the key

This may work
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Mazda-2-B...ht_1474wt_1163 It looks the right size and shape to hold the circuit booard. Then get a blank chipped bt 50 or 323/laser key key and pull it apart. remove the small transponder chip and fit the transponder and contents of your original remote inside the key off ebay. If not buy this. I know it works, I used a BT50 key as it was a cheaper way of buying the temic 8C transponder chip required to make a working key. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Entry-Rem...ht_3538wt_1163 |

keyless entry mot working
Hi all, new to group please be gentle, I have just purchased a Mazda 323 Protege BJ series, 2000 model. I never got any keyless remotes with the car, purchase Key from Mazda today and I cannot get it to code, has instructions in the glove box about recoding and a siren ?? to turn the siren swith to on etc
. First problem is I cannot find any siren. After going thorugh the coding steps Ensure the key switch on the siren is turned to the ON position Remove - from battery for 5 seconds and replace switch key off and on for 12 times, the system will sound once ignition is turned on (ignore and continue cycling the switch until disarmed) Within 20 seconds of disarming turn the ignition key from OFF to On position 20 times leaving the key in the OFF position after the 20th time. Vehicles indicators will flash 20 times to indicate successful entry. on the 20th flash of the indicators press the button once on each transmitter Once finished turn the ignition key to the ON position to lock in and exit from the programming mode If unsuccessful repeat. Has anyone successfully achieved this?? I have tried maybe 20 + times today and no luck The doors all lock with the normal ignition key. Any suggestions or help greatly appreciated |

this thread is about the mazda3, not the 323... you should have started a new thread and that is what is advisable to do

Welcome! To program like that you require an original already programmed key. I.e. just adding another one to the immobiliser. In your case I'm not sure how to start with a new key without an existing one. Thanks for using the search function, although sometimes its easier to ask a brand new question like this!
