Oil pressure gauge for FS-DE

Hi guys,

I've just gone out and bought an oil pressure gauge. What is the best way to install the sender? I was thinking an oil filter sandwich plate, but I didn't know if it was easier to use a t piece where the stock oil pressure switch goes? Do I even need the stock switch? I don't need the warning light when I have a gauge!

I would keep the stock switch also, if the gauge plays up then the light is the fail-safe, also not sure about this but the ECU may need the signal from the stock switch, others on here may know for sure.

The ECU does not use the signal, it goes straight to the dash.
I have an oil pressure gauge and have not installed a T piece yet and have had no issues whatsoever.
Next time the car is on the hoist and I am doing an oil change I will re fit it with a T piece.

The T pieces that screw into the block tend to vibrate and crack.
Run a braided hose to the firewall and mount the senders there

What size do I need? I'm guessing M20x1.5?
