EBC products

I read somewhere that EBC products don't compare to other brands as they aren't designed for the Australian climate. I can understand this for brake pads, but is does it apply to discs too? I was looking at the greenstuff pads off protege garage. I haven't bothered to price anything else locally yet. What other brake pads are out there that are of similar price and quality locally?

Also, on protege garage i saw there's a combo sort of deal, 300 for greenstuff pads, ebc drilled and slotted rotors and goodrich braided lines. Is this a good deal? How do braided lines compare to normal brake lines, does it actually make any difference?
