Idleling high
Hi everyone, it's been a while I guess.
I had to replace the clutch master cylinder as it was leaking and the gear wouldn't shift. so that's been replaced, I did lots of bleeding and the biting point is where it used to be. The gear shift changes fine but I've noticed that the RPM has gone up by at least 500, at the traffic light it used to happily sit at 700rpm but now we are talking around 1200rpm! and I can see the the fuel consumption has gone up too! Wondering what's gone wrong or have I disturb anything, any idea? how can I bring the rpm right down? Mazada astina 323 1.8 manual 1997. Thanks in advance. Walt |

I probably have knocked a vacuum pipe off the manifold somewhere or unclipped a wiring loom accidently.

Thanks for the reply mate. I've just checked, double checked and triple checked all the vacuum pipes and wiring loom, all in place and tight. How can I lower the RPM? is there a way? |
