bpt questions
Okay so was wondering what the little module under the throttle body is for? The one with the larger pipe and small pipe on the front? I know the larger on was for the air pipe for the BP motor and now have no use for it but what about the little pipe?

It's a hard spot to take pics man, I couldn't get anything decent. But project.r is right, the small hoses run to the coolant lines and the big one is the air connection.

Just thought I'd post for future references for people looking to do this.....there is a small coolant nipple behind the throttle body and one underneath it too.....you need to:
- from the bottom nipple on the module on the front of the intake put it under the throttle body through the whole and run it behind to the nipple - from the top nipple run it around the fuel rail into the heater hose coolant pipe - to T into the coolant pipe for the line for the turbo T into the top hose line that you just ran to the heater hose |

And then the coolant nipple under the throttle body just run to the other metal hose that runs next to the heater pipe and goes into the head

All 90s F.inj B, Z and maybe F series engines are the same. If looking how it needs to be done, just look under the bonnet of any TX3, Laser, Familia, 323, 626, Protege, Astina from 1990-2003.

Some peeps bypass it for whatever reasons they seem fit.
90-94 BPT coolent system. For 90-94 BP, just remove turbo and oil cooler pipes. Last edited by project.r.racing; 17-06-2012 at 08:15 AM. |

Would have been good to have that a few days ago :P I just went off the bp intake manifold pictures and worked it out from there.....word of advice is don't put the fuel rail and injectors back in until all coolant lines are run correctly
