FS in US: Magnaflow SS catback for SP20 $US282 + shipping

Hi guys,
I saw this group buy in the US mazda forums going on right now:
http://www2.msprotege.com/forum/show...ge=1&pp=15
Its a magnaflow stainless steel 2.25" catback for the SP20 for US$282 plus shipping. Its an amazing looking and sounding exhaust, exactly what i'm looking for, except shipping costs a fortune (US$300 thru Fedex)! And the package is too big to send thru US postal service
This system should fit our aussie SP20 right? Does anyone have any ideas on how to get shipping from the US for cheaper? I'm thinking maybe if they post the 3 parts of the catback separately, then the packages might be small enough to send thru USPS, which would cost around US$30 per package via surface mail. any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Carlton.

USPS is the cheapest way via surface mail (ie ship), but takes 8 weeks.

i havent looked at the link yet, but if it's for a protege5 then it would fit the astina sp20 fine

thx twilight, yup its for a protege5. I just wanted to make sure the p5 exhaust system is exactly the same as our sp20s.
yeah i wouldn't mind waiting 8 weeks to save money on shipping thru USPS surface mail, but theres a maximum package length of 42" and apparently this catback package is 48".
u reckon its worth to pay US$580 for this exhaust shipped? it does sound awfully nice!

Send a message via MSN to platypus
tell them to take it apart..

you can potentially ship cars with the postal service, but you need to provide the crate etc....

surface mail you can send anysize... air mail would have that length requirement
americans presume you want it yesterday

just like what james says - surface any size is ok. the 42" is the limit for air

if you do get it, dont get it via anything other than surface mail. it'll cost way too much....but i have been told it's a great system

I checked the USPS website, and 42" is the max length for economy (surface) parcel post to Australia. Are you sure USPS can ship bigger parcels? If so how do I do it?
Thx.
