wiring at a guess ?

i had the same problem happen with my gf's silvia. In her case the window control box / relay was full of water - its inside the door.

do all the other windows work ?

I'd take the door card off that door and check the plugs / wiring inside the door. you can use a tester/multimeter to check whether power is reaching the switch at all, and work your way along checking whether the switch is working etc. if you find that the motor is getting power but doing nothing then check its contacts else replace it.

my BA has a switch on the drivers side to disable the windows.

if you find the other windows arnt working as well i'd check that switch too

i gave it a go on my car, i clean both the switch's driverside door and the door that isn't working, it worked for awhile, but now its stuck down, , hopefully it will go back up soon, then i'll just leave it up until i go and see an auto electrician ASAP. i'm either guessing that it could be my wires or the motor in the door, but when i push the switch to put the window down you can hear the window trying to go down, but when i try to put it up it wont budge.

squirt some silicone lubricant into the window rubber grooves, makes the window go up and down a lot quicker.
also remove the door card and make sure the rubber hasn`t become dislodged.

i've found the problem, it doesn't have anything to do with the motor or the switch on that door, i has to do with the main switch, i clean it again and put everything back right, and it work for awhile then the problem starts again, but when i hit the switch box while pushing up, the back window starts to move up, so i just have to go and get a new main switch box and hope that it fixes the problem.

Windows can be a pane but most problems end-up being transparent
