The money you were looking to spend on the 19s would easily take a huge chunk out of a BPT transplant costs...

Yeah I've raced an auto VP S, and after he called it, I had to make up 1/2 a car length, which I did quite easily, but were basically neck and neck after that. So In my books a car with an engine more than 2X as mine (no matter how unrefined) that I can ever so slowly inch past, is pretty embaressing to the Commodore owner... And I only have 75kW ATW, not 120kW+ ATW like he did...

i only have 92kw atf maybe a bit more wid the few little accresories and my mates el has 156kw atf so i was happy especially seeing he got the jump and i was only at his door

Headers, cams, etc...
Make sure when you put headers on that the exit pipe is same size or slightly larger than your exhaust and your cat converter matches your headers.

The VPs were not that heavy, still under or around 1500kg from memory, so they were one of the quicker V6s despite having a little less power than the later models... Certainly not so heavy that an extra 30%+ more power couldn't overcome, Boo I say!
