What kind of Astina? What kind of suspension? How much camber are you running?

8" wide is the reasonable limit of width to rims. Offset would have to be 35 or 30 and youd need coilovers and lipped guards, maybe a pinch of camber to fit them.
You can go wider with flares (fenders?) but you're already past the legal limitations and you put high load on your bearings. A 9" may fit with lower offset than 30 if your brave. 8"35 offset is a nice fit and you can run 205 or 215 tyre. |

yea im considering doing something stupidly cool since i hardly get to drive it
Its a BA 1994 the only chance from stock is the engine to a klze but i will be doing suspension possibly with wheel upgrade. so i wanna 18 inch and 8 inchs wide was what i was thinking but the wider the more umm grip lets just say lol oww and i have no idea how camber works and all that negative & positive offset or how its relevant, if we dont need to go into that its sweet. so something stupid and yes flares my bad for some reason i call it fenders :S |

you really cannot go wider than 8 inches. when the wheels are at full lock, the wheel section closest to drivers/passenger feet almost rubs the inside of the arches.
also finding a tyre that fits a 18x8 will be a scretch or likely extreme large oversize like 225/35R18 etc. 15x8 or 16x8 will giv you many more options to play with. |

Hatch or Hardtop?
With stock strut-type suspension, an 8.5 +40 will fit on the front and still be inside the guards, but will rub on the struts on the rear. A +30 with a fair bit of camber is doable if it's more looks over handling that you're going for. 8" +30 is a relatively sensible size/width, but you'll have to roll and flare the rear a little (on a Hardtop, at least)

And my final question
How would I find or where would I find a set of rims that I like with a +30 and 8" wide? Any recommended places or sites? |

Rupewrecht! Have a look at the traders section on this forum. I can vouch (along with many others) for his service and products.
There are plenty of sets of rims that would suit your requirements. Scroll down 'parts from the latest container' to see what is available now. The wedsport SA70s' are 17x8 +32 with stud pattern to suit your v6. Last edited by ghetto3; 19-11-2013 at 09:48 AM. |

if they were +35 offset, you'd only need the stock camber figure
