I have a question or two to all the people in the know....

I received a letter from the ato about a month ago stating I stuffed up my 07/08 return, and didnt include an employers witholding amount ($1300, ) as I received it 6wks after I had moved & totally forgot about it

Anyways I did my etax and it states i'll get back an estimate of around $700, will that 1300 I withheld from a couple years affect this years and maybe hit with a bill?

I'm not too sure, as i received a letter like mark saying i stuffed up and owe them $450, so i think i would have been getting $1000, so maybe $550...

Either way it's going towards a washing machine / bond for when i move to Brisbane in the coming months, I'm afraid there won't be anymore eye candy / performance spending on my Astina anymore, only up keep.

Cheers,
Steve.

Well I received my estimated amount I had when I did my Etax, but its just strange that it took 5 days extra to be processed when I did it 45mins earlier then the missus lodgement :confused;

I'm mostly trying to decide what to car buy now. I really, really want a 3000GT (dream car) but they're getting a bit old (i like the '92-93 shape). I'd sell the astina and buy a bike for a daily
