[color=#0000FFost_uid7]Hey Guys,
Looking for another astina for Leanne. *We're after a gunmetal grey hatch, with low k's, manual, long rego (if possible) and preferably 97 or 98 model. We been looking in the trading post and havent found any gunmetal grey ones for sale. *If any of you's come across any astina that fits this description let me know aight! Am willing to travel to Sydney for it, however you Melbourne boys are a little too far for car hunting * thanks, -Mick[/colorost_uid7]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]I was looking to get a gun metal gray one myself, only problem is they were rare as anything. I looked at 2 here in Melb, both had high mileage and weren't in the best condition. Had I found the right one maybe things would be very different now.[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]Eric, it's very similar, but not the same. I'll scan a pic of the layout and send it to you if you like.
There's a few noteable differences, the oil light, door and seatbelt lights are all different. Probably easiest I scan a pic . . . [/colorost_uid0] |

[color=#FF7F00ost_uid0]mmm.....
another option, why dont you look for an astina you like, doent matter what the colour is, as long as the mechanical side of things are fine, and im sure you can get one in less than $15k. spend a couple of G's to paint it in grey. it will make the whole thing alot easier. just another option.......[/colorost_uid0]

[color=#0000FFost_uid7]Had a look at a charcoal grey astina today.. its a 97 model, 1.8l,auto, 60,000 on the clock, full log book history and 16" chrome wheels (new) and it is $15900, but the guy says he can make it $15500.
the body was in fair condition with a few dings here and there. The motor sounded ok and there were no oil leaks.. went for a drive in it and i found that with the auto it doesnt go too good * *and leanne doesnt what auto.... she's gettin so frustrated... you guys think its worth convertin it to manual or to just wait till she finds another grey one? -Mick[/colorost_uid7]

[color=#000000ost_uid0]There is a silvery-grey one at a dealership in sylvania (southerland shire in sydney) that i saw yesterday... im pretty sure it was a manual, lighter than the gunmetal grey, but cloe. i thikn it was $14000 and a 95 model.... cant remember exactly except the price
If you want i can do a bit more digging for you, get the ph number of the dealership etc, if you dont mind the lighter silvery-grey Justin[/colorost_uid0] |

[color=#000000ost_uid0]hey mick,
converting to manual is a seriously expensive process. when nick had his auto V6 i think he said it was something like $2000-3000 for the conversion alone. would be much better to find one you are reasonably happy with mechanically then have it re-sprayed to leannes tastes i reckon cheers mike[/colorost_uid0] |

[color=#000000ost_uid1]Chronos,
You talking about the hyundai dealer in Sylvania ?? or the little guy near the servo. I could pop by Mik after work and have a look if you want. I will also have a quick look in Tynans for you too whilst I am cruising around. Fixed my exhaust leak so it doesn't sound like a diesel now. Was so embarrasing, especially when I got pulled over for a RBT. Anyway let me know Mal[/colorost_uid1]

if you can stop by Mal, and its not outta you way, just go check out that astina you's are talkin about and let me know what its like. Thanks for all your help guys, much appreciated! -Mick p.s Eric, I think Leanne would prefer your candy apple orange to a grey astina anyday hehe[/colorost_uid6]
