Exclamation Fuel Cunsumption increase after cleaning IAC and fuel filter?

Hey guys
i guess a very strange question here, or if anybody else has experienced this on their BA astina,
Well anyways, after much work , and reading all the forums here,
ive managed to clean my IAC valve, and reset the base idle and sort out the rough idle, and fitted a new fuel filter which mad a hell of a diff. so did the IAC.
but now heres the weird part, after sorting the idle issue, i find that the fuel consumption has increased. and iv double checked, there is no leaks anywhere. did anybody else experienced this?
do you think iv got to reset the CO levels? Cambelt well as igniton timing has been checked and is correct.
Bearing in mind, that I think it was the first time the IAC valve had
ever been cleaned in this car, and CO levels have been set previously. probaby with it filthy, could the astina just need a CO level reset?
or any other ideas?
fyi, i have a CAI on the car, but that had been fitted a good few months ago, and the co levels were set about a year ago

thanks for all anticipated answers guys, kind regards

question is. how many km's/miles can you do in a full tank and what fuel are you using?

depending on your driving conditions you should get at least 500km+ using 95RON on a full tank or more

after you cleaned out your IAC did you do the rest of the manifold - if so did you change spark plugs as well. as all the carbon gets dumped into the camber and plugs don't like it.

also check your airflow meter is not damaged.
