Door support crack

The other day I noticed that the place where the door is fixed to is cracked.

Here there are some pictures:

How bad is this? And how can I fix it?

Thanks a lot

just hit it with a welder and a quick but of paint and rust converter and it should be fine, unless it rusted through then its a bit more complicated

Thanks for your reply.
I've been told that the thing that is cracked, isn't metal but sealant. When I touched it, it seemed soft too. So what I'm supposed to do is tighten the bolt that fixes that part to the chasis. What do you think?

the hinge is normally bolted to the chassis. and yes a product is used to fill the holes to prevent water pooling and rust forming.

if the car has need in a accident before. they may have attached the hinge with welds and used a grinder to smooth it over.

attack it with a screwdriver and make an assessment. if it is just sealent, pick most of it out and reseal. it will just look clear instead of the colour of the car. which isn't really important due to age of car and hidden location of area.

if it has been welded sometime in its lifetime, then go the welder option.

Thanks! I'll try that
