What are the normal annual cruises ????

Its clear that most of the big cruises are focused mainly around NSW and the ACT. Whilst both these areas have great roads and alot to offer it is clear we may be forgeting two important states where alot of members are from VIC and QLD which also have alot to offer
VIC has the great Ocean Road and QLD has the roads near the glass house mountains.

You can tell me to shut up but i prepose that we have four main annual cruises.

WHICH COULD BE AS POSTED IN THE POLL

i like the idea. 4 big cruises per year, 1 every 3 months. i really really like it!

i like the idea of : summer nsw, autumn vic, winter qld, spring act

for two reasons. 1 climate. cooler in qld and possible snow in act. 2, just coz.

i voted for no 3 as it was closest to what i thought

i still like the idea of a dyno shoot out on one cruise and a track (circuit or drag) shootout

this was just a suggestion of mine and other cruises should continue on a regular basis Like the blue moutains trip which i missed. but it would be good to have a timetable established where atleast 50 percent of the forum could attend what a site it would be to have atleast 40 or 50 sweet cars at the same place at the same time. I can tell you now if 50 sweet mazdas cruised the newcastle foreshore on a sunday after noon it would make a specticle and would find its way to a paper or a magazine. All to often you see a subaru or nissan club in the back of hot fours i want to see a mazda club in the back of hot fours. And i want the subaru clubs to be jelous of what we have instead of us being jelous of our japanesse cousins popularity.

hard to project what I will be doing tomorrow let alone in 3 months time.

If the weekend is free and the car is running I will be there.

can some other people state their interest? 7 people have voted but only 4 posted here...the more opinions we get the better!

would be good to know why people vote for something ie like me - temperature reasons

I voted earlier. I'll admit I do find it a bit hard because virtually any cruises are 3+ hours away, having a set date makes it much easier as I can plan well ahead...

For me four annual cruises are a little too demanding (I know I don't need to attend all of 'em) maybe two with no permanent venue would be more likely to succeed.
I believe that if you're going to do this then you will need a cruise director to over see the organisation or they will never be successfully organised.
Oh yeah, I would avoid school holidays to save $$$ on accomodation.

Point taken by voting it isnt commiting to going to every big cruise its just putting in your 2 cents in and giving you the opportunity to voice what time of the year you would like to see a cruise in your state. It also gives people the opportunity to plan what is happening ie if there was a cruise in vic or qld it gives me time to line up somemoney and plan my life around it. If there is a set time for a cruise it gives people more time make arrangements.

Also the idea of a cruise director would be a good. Personally i would like to see some one from each state co ordinate there local cruise. If one wants to volunteer to co ordinae the cruises in there home state throw your hat in the circle by nominating your self i have a pretty good idea who would do a good job but i dont want to put them in with out there own consent.

If we were to introduce cruise directors we would need two or three people from each state but anyone would be welcom to do it.

i reckon what woudl be a tops idea woudl be to organise a winter cruise, to the winter country... if i had work i'd do it too... sure the spirited driving will decrease, but its a get together ain't it?

well i suppose someone would like to play on an icy road!

but to add to that: i have a few weeks off at the end of june and beginning of july (AND we can have a hip-hip-hoorey b'day party/getting absolutely tanked on the 8th july for moi!) where i wouldn't mind organising a get together at the snow (preferrable a week that's not vic/nsw school holis). we could get a couple of cabins at jindabine or mt hotham (never been to the snow - really - before, so don't know the hip places for the winter).
OTHERWISE i could round up sum petrol and head to QLD for some sunshine. OR a road trip to cairns/port douglas/airlie beach. if neone can get time off around the last couple of weeks of june, throw up some suggestions or ANYTHING really....and i could look into organising a hell of a cruise i hate the cold of winter - unless it's snow, i can understand why this is but the drab colours of sydney in the winter are so depressing - look outside today, sydneysiders and (apparently) coasties: totally yucky poo. i always try to get away to somewhere warmer or colourful at winter time.
