Spend your money maintaining your vehicle and avoid the usual ebay scam products. I.E. $20 power chips and electric turbo chargers.

Sell car, buy an S13.
There's really not much in the 'cheap' category you can do to get a decent increase in power. Bain of the small N/A engine.

Btw I wasn't joking. A turbo setup, mod plate if you can do the work yourself would have to be the cheapest for the amount of power you gain. Spend a grand and it'll get it running. But for reliable power cheap, well that ain't really available anywhere...

Look for cams for 90-94 1.8L MX-5s, same engine as you and that will be the easiest way to find them. Also weight removal isn't that dumb of an idea and is free 99% of the time. Just comes down to what you want left in the car.

cams, cheapest option would be to find some hla friendly 2nd hand cams. new they are $900 from japan shipped to your door.

Start sourcing bpt gtx parts or bpt motor for when u van drive a turbo adds like 60-80hp and almost 100nm of torque on a small 8psi
