So i picked up a new laptop today for uni/work/home and just wanted to recommend it to anyone else out there looking at netbooks (mini laptops)

Its the MSI Wind (U100) with the 10" screen and 6-cell battery.

its my third laptop, first netbook and i'm extremely impressed. great build quality, good performance, all the features and it looks great. kicks the **** out of my previous pioneer one and the dell before it.

oh, its also weights 1kg and runs for 5 and a half hours with wifi.

it cost me $630 and i'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a ultraportable laptop.

1 gripe though - no cd/dvd drive, external USB only and it doesn't come with one

ewww...sorry...a few months ago i got me and kaz a compac notebook...cost $624 over the counter and then at the time hp/compac had a cash back offer...so weve got $150 back off of it...so it was a really good laptop for a cheap price...we both love it...

15.4inch screen, 2.13ghz cpu, 120gb harddrive, 1gig ram, dvd burner, 5in1 card reader, wireless network card built in...3 usb slots, ohh also got the 6cell battery too...comes with vista home, and hp's you dont need a recover cd or dvd...they partition part of the hard drive for that...

model is a C793VU...great laptop for what ill be using it for...couldnt of found a better one cheaper...
