Got most brackets and wiring sorted. Just need the soldering iron to finish the last bits off. Abs in white tape, airbags in orange, main loom in black and engine can be something else, just because I can. Put the dash in and double checking plugs etc. Looks all good. On Friday I will install the blowers and ac stuff, clutch pedals etc. On the weekend hopefully ill have a nice lot of bushes pressed in and get the steering rack and subframe in, ready for the motor... Swap over my daily back to stock suspension and hubs until I can get another set of 5 stud gear. Then begin putting the motor in on Monday hopefully, gearbox can wait a bit. Unless none of my parcels come. Then I'm screwed.

You regret selling those 5 stud hubs to me?
Im appreciating them every day, looking at those beautiful 16x8" mso1fs' now... Dang i love 'em. On topic... I continued with wiring a heap of relays to control guages, gizzmo shift light, navman, fuel pump cutoff, usb charge port and electric water pump control module (with fans wired in sync) lots of fun. Thanks to derbs' posts in this thread ages ago and others, you know who you are, s**t is getting done my brothers/sisters! Last edited by ghetto3; 11-03-2013 at 11:39 PM. |

I severely regret it yes! Well today was a bit of excitement opening presents from the states. Radiator needs to be mounted sideways ideally. It's a double flow one, I realise the filler has to.be the highest point to reduce air bubbles but is there any detrimental consequences for running it sideways? And no, I ain't paying for someone to move the filler cap, thats not worth the money. Installed new heater core plastic thingos and polished up the alloy pipes.
Installed per steering res. Mucked around for ages with radiator and intercoolers. Side by side they fit PERFECTLY with the radiator sideways!

you won't have to care where the cap is if you used the V6 subtank with it

That's what I was thinking ed. I knew I shouldn't have thrown it out. I'll still need a reservoir , can that still utilize the barb next to the cap or does it need to come off the v6 chamber and sit higher again

no
V6 tank is probably the best bet but I gave it some more thought... orienting the radiator sideways is not what it was designed for... the flow characteristics and thermal transfer characteristics won't work right why didn't you ask us for advice first before buying a radiator not meant for your car or your needs? if anything, you should've gotten this: http://store.awrracing.com/products/...252d-3504.html best thing to do is get that radiator I linked and sell this one you have to someone else!

I doubt that'd fit - the BA has a very shallow-in-height radiator.
Example:

me too, but it has a better chance of fitting.... even a civic one has a better chance!
now seeing the BA radiator pics, you reminded me that crossflow radiators have the radiator inlets and outlets at the extreme corners of the radiator, not somewhere in the middle like what you can get away with in a downflow radiator in otherwords, without major (costly) modifications, the BJ radiator just won't work!

Any reason you used two different fans?

Already had one slimline, couldn't find an identical one anymore and couldn't justify the new price for two new ones
