Whoa Lucky your car was undercover!

Dayem, glad we haven't seen that sort of hail in Melb - those hailstones would have gone right thru the VW ragtop!

Actually im slightly regretting my car being moved under shelter, cause it would have been a write off where i left it.. But hey nothing i can do now, just got to get the car into repairs again for the minor hail damage i did get!!

Who got owned by the storm?

Well my poor lil mazda got owned by the storm back window three holes in it and shattered front window has cracks all through it and there are dents all over the roof, bonnet and drivers side of the car.No insurance as the car aint worth much the front and rear windscreens are costing $670 to get fixed one expensive Christmas present.

Holy crap that hail is massive! Kind of like what we had in October, only your hail stones are bigger.

wow... those are huge...

my car was parked outside in castle hill... the hailstones weren't that big... but they were almost the size of golf balls... enough make a mess of my car ... i did consider acting as a human shield over the roof of my car but then figured i'd prefer a few dents to a concussion if the hailstones got bigger

was with a mate in glenhaven after the storms... that area got hit pretty hard... alot of trees fell on houses and cars... it was pretty messed up... i've never seen anything like it... possibly the most ironic part was my mate's neighbour in glenhaven had a tree on his house but was still smiling coz he owns three panel-beating businesses in the north-west and western suburbs

the disappointing part was when i found out that the storm wasn't half as bad in carlingford as it was in castle hill

It looks like window tinting saves you on other expenses when you get hit by hail. Having a mostly intact rear window helps keep the rain and glass out of the back of the car.

yea After the hail stopped in Rooty Hill, I rang my mum to warn her.. but there was hardley anything in carlingford.. Very lucky!!

Just to let everyone kinda understand how hard they were hitting.. One hit the garage so hard. it went through a fibre wall into the garage, there is now a whole in the side of the garage!!
