Brake lights turning on parking lights?!?
Hey Guys!
Just wondering if anyone has had previous experience / advice on this problem... I own a 2001 323 Astina SP20 and over the last week or so I've noticed that everytime I put my foot on the Brake, the parking lights (Including the Dash, Stereo backlights and Foglights if switched on) all come on simultaneously even though the parkers aren't actually switched on... Furthermore, when the cars ignition is turned off and I depress the brake pedal with the drivers door open, the warning sound for having my lights on can be heard... Any ideas or comments would be greatly appreciated |

woah sounds like you have some crossed wires seeing how when you turn on your parkers your tail lights (same buld as your stop lights) turns on, but with a different fillament. try taking you stop/tail lights out and see if it still happens, might be a cross in the wires there, which could possibly force enough current back down the wire to the stork?? i dunno but thats what i would start from. also check if any wires are exposed
hope this helps Tony |

Thanks for the reply!
I've just pulled out the Tail lights and the one on the drivers had fizzed out so the filaments were connected... So simple but could have been really expensive... Thanks again! -Raven67vr2 |
