BJ11 - Cigarette lighter

Anyone know what colour the positive and negative wires are and how to access/remove point from the dash.

Cheers!

The outside bit is normaly -ve and the contact in the centre +ve. The colours can change depending on the contractor who made the loom for Mazda.
A $10 multi-meter from Dick Smiths is a good cheap investment when working on car electrics.

the plug is a PITA to get to, either try from the top, or try from the bottom

from the top, take the centre console out and remove the air conditioning rubbish.... memory is a bit hazy on that one... but that is easiest...

other wise remove the centre console (ie the shifter surround) and go from the bottom....

so i guess you gotta decide what you wanna get in there for....

also don't go overloading that cirucuit, use a relay if your drawing down decent amounts of power...
