EOI: Dyno Day

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to put it out there and see if anyone in NSW was interested in attending a Dyno day in Sydney?

I'm quite happy to organise the day as I am familiar with some of the performance shops in the Hills area of Sydney.

I was thinking of something along the lines of having cars run on the dyno and then hold a big BBQ later in the afternoon and have abit of a hangout with other members. Most of the shops now have 4wd dyno's meaning that basically any car could be put on the rollers.

also depending on interest we might be able to open this up to some of the other forums such as OZMazda and other mazda forums.

let me know if your interested and if we get enough numbers then the serious planning can start.

im not sure at the moment because i was just putting it out there but i think it normally works out to be $50 per car and i think thats normally for 3 runs or so.

I organised the last for ozmazda.com down at Silverwater Automotive Services. There was a 20 car minimum from memory to book the dyno for the whole day, but yes $50 per car for 3 runs + printout is the going price.

i was thinking a weekend in july/august, i will definately try and make it a saturday or sunday.

Awesome McWilly will be awesome to see the 350hp+ on the dyno, a rexy would be great to see too something diff to all the Astinas and tx3's.

I have a couple of mates who might tag along also, one with a Modded VZ Commo, the other with a modded VE SS ute.

Any idea what workshop u gonna use?

Possibly Castle Hill exhaust, they held a dyno day for Street Commodores there last yr and i know the guys there because they have done alot on my car, but it depends if they are happy to have us, there are also a number of other shops in the area that may also be an option.

So at the moment im unsure but once i get enough interest i can start looking into it and approaching shops.

yeh ive had my whole exhaust done there, the guys r great
