Changing brake pads help please

Hey guys,

Well hopefully i'm going to be able to get the discs off no problem, but since i have never done anything like this before, can someone please tell me the basic technique for changing brake pads? Its a BA V6 astina, front pads only

Big tip would be if you have a digital camera to take a lot of pics so you can reference to them when you're putting it back together.
I'll see if I can scan the pages from the service manual and e-mail them if you'd like.

Nah dude its cool don't worry about it, I got it done by someone else and it didn't even cost that much... thanks anyway. BTW how much was the service manual, what brand is it? might pick one up for myself

I have the Mazda ones (only Vol 2 and '96 wiring supplement) they're not cheap but they are comprehensive.

Try http://www.marque.com.au/ as Mazda doesn't actualy sell them

for those that dont know, I have volumes 1 & 2, & wiring supplement. I also have the v6 engine manual which is no use to me anymore

hmm interesting site... I want to do the KF Engine Overhaul... pity i have no mechanical experiwence

Dogo, does yours cover the V6? By your post, do you mean you are selling yours?

i'd sell the KF engine overhaul supplement but not the workshop manuals or wiring diagrams. the workshop manuals and wiring diags cover the 4cyl and v6, and the KF engine supplement only covers the v6.
