Hey guys,
Im looking at connecting up my fog lights?
I know i could just make a whole new wiring setup for them, with fues, relay switch ect...
But i know iv got the plug behine the front bar for them and the plug in the cabin for the switch.
Is there anychance of being able to wire the lights and switch to these?
Or would i need to get the mazda switch and a wireing harness??

With the BA's you need the switch and a relay for the stock system to work. I assume it is the same with the BJ.

Dad hit mum's car coming out of the driveway this morning. Smashed the rear passenger side light and rear bumper. The car's a BJII J48 1.8. What would people recommend as the cheapest place to get a replacement bumper and tail light? (bumper may be repairable not sure yet)

Checked eBay but the only lights I could find are from the models with the white section for the indicator/reverse light opposed to pink looks like i'll be getting Altezzas and mum can have my tail lights

I'm assuming that you are talking about a sedan here ....

There are no models with a "pink" section for the reverse / indicator lights.

There is the standard US and JDM version which has the white strip in the middle of the two red bits or there is the Euro version (i.e. the ones I have that are just red) which have the indicator / reverse lights down the bottom.

Yeah it's for a sedan sorry.
The indicator and reverse area on the J48 Protege's is a slightly pinkish colour compared to the earlier models which are whiter (not really 'pink' sorry). In the US the Mazdaspeeds came out with the pink ones but the other models only had the white.

White

Pinkish

what do ppl think of my laser having bj taillights on the rear? Im thinking of buying some bj lights and getting a new tailgate and the bumper modded to fit...
Im pretty confident that theyll fit as the pics of my car without lights look the exasct same as a bj without lights so the sides will be ok....
Something different i guess. Lol

Thought about doing this to the laser, as I really dont like the laser tailgates

Would be all plug and play really, you'd of course need the wiring harness' for the tail lights, and you'd actually have no drama's with connecting up the spoiler brake light seeing they come standard on all BJ 323 Astina's, lol

J48 protege actually has more of a yellow tinge to the lens on the indicator and reverse instead of a clearer look...

You do know the colour depends on the bulbs, not the actual housing?

questions, how long have you had them? what sort of life have they had? is there anything wrong with the current ones?

also from what i know having lowered springs will also shorten the life of a shockabsorber...

well iv had the car for 4 or so years now. And i havent replaced them. It only has normal daily driving, nothing too crazy...
Just thought they might be a bit old by now and if im doing the springs i have to take them out anyway.

nope to the BJ and BP question.

The 1.8L in the BJ cars is the FP-DE.
