Smile Mazda 929 HBES

My new project!

1987 Mazda 929 HBES Luxury Limited

Done 177,000kms

FE 4cyl 2.0Ltr Fuel injected (Thank god its not the 6cyl!)

5 Speed MAN

Auto Adjusting Suspention with variaing modes

Climate & Cruise control

PWR Steering

Original Clarion Stereo with 5 stage EQ, Dolby Digital and amp

5 Stage lumbar support (Is actually quite comfy)

Found this on ebay, ended up getting it for $800. The user Ben and I went and picked it up on last friday (I realise this isn't a 323,h e suggested i post it on here) The brake master cylinder was rooted and had to get that replaced before i left the guys house at the Goldy. $490 later and i drove it 250kms home with no problems. Paint is almost immaculate (Few stone chips and a light scratch)
Interior is much the same and dash is quite good too.

The bad:
Driver side window needs new bushes
Clutch has nearly had it
Brake master cylinder - done
Needs new brake pads - done
Needs 4 new tires - done
Has a few leaks. Tappet cover, suspected slight power steering leak

Apart from that it's straight as, just usual wear and tear with age and the fact it hadn't had a service in 30,000kms :S
Even has the original leads which i think i will change...

haha, thought that as soon as I read the dash instruments It would be more to do with the lower compression engine I think. The later model DOHC upgraded engines redlined over 7k. Ripper it has the manual box too

These lil' beasties always intrigued me, especially the turbo ones with extra 2fwkw Bugger about the last service history

Have you any plans up ahead for her?

This was mine before the Jeep incedent.

Where are you heading with this? The FE likes headers and free flowing exhaust.
The FE short motor can be swapped for an F2 2.2 litre short motor with almost no other mods (10% more cubes can't be wrong).

Yea probs is the compression NaughtyGT... I had a old 1980 626 and it died anything over 4 thou rpm. Yea i can't have a turbo yet (Still on my p plates :S) The engine it's got in it now is fine! Now that i put oil in it and got some coolant in there...
Yea, almost immaculate Duke. So happy that i was manual aye lol
I don't really know yet Cosmo Dude. Still thinking about whether to just fix it up and keep it stock and sell her OR do her up and keep her as a run about the the family can use aswell (Parents only have one car) What was the Jeep incident?? Sounds nasty... Yea i love the dash too! The tapedeck pretty much sold it for me haha

Ha, Jake was on his way to pick me up to go see it... Told him you found it and told him info about it so we decided against it... We hit ebay then 30 minutes later we were on our way to see this instead haha
