Red Frog,

Go to your nearest Super Cheap Auto's or AutoBahstards and go to the fully sik rice section.....

Costs about $30 if it isn't on special.

Unfortunately the mesh for the MX5 costs muchos muchos more than that.....

Bugger!

oops, I should have explained better.....

There is a premade piece available for the MX5 that costs $119

It fits straight in and bolts onto the "baby teeth" boltholes.

I had the baby teeth removed when I had my Pod mounted behind the fog light in my front bar.....

The premade mesh piece has solid frame and fittings apparently......

If I ever get around to it, LOL

actually that's an interesting pt: apparently the laser has no points of attachment for the mesh, so i've been told by a bloke on fl.com that i'll prob have to use cable ties which is fine. is this the case with the 99-02 proteges and astinas?

I think I saw one at the dyno day. Looked like a good package, just the $119 is the problem.

I used garbage ties on the lower mesh when it was on the ol' 'stina

heheehe garbage ties that's classic. i haven't really got underneath to have a look yet, but ur fellow wooden spoon winner  , james, has his mesh on, so it may be a similar setup. we'll have to experiment and see.

i took photos, and i have noooo idea where i put them.... possibly on the laptop.... i dunno...

i placed my mesh into position, and just jammed the orignal plastic in behind it....

froggy, your car has a spot that the fog lights screw into.... perhaps the ford dealer could order the mesh that is on the sr2??
