Antenna all way up.

So a couple of days ago, I noticed the antenna about only a foot up.

so i grabbed it and pulled it up and it made the normal operating noises. i have don this previously when it has become a little sticky.

but now it is all the way up, and doesnt wanna come down. it is so bloody high the car looks like a dodgem car. seriously its probably 30cm higher than the roof line.

i dont listen to the radio normally as use a intergated ipod system. so, how do i get get down. happy for it to stay down and out of sight.

thanks.

been there before, gotta remove all the boot panel and get the antenna out, you wont be able to remove it completely so have to pull it apart in the boot then remove from there, then just clean and rebuild

broken antenna cable
just a common thing with any car with power antennas

more the reason not to have extra toys that break

yeah gonna have to pull it apart, sometimes when it comes up the antenna mast moves a little bit and pulls the cord too far from the gear and go back down, or the cord twists and gets jammed

If you don't need it to be automatic then unscrew the top, pull out the post and cut off the toothed plastic section inside so you can push it up and down.
