Are they the GRb's. If so I have.
I like them. If I had a choice I would go the Ziex over the GRb's as the Ziex last longer and not really any noticeable difference in handling. Regards Mal[/colorost_uid1]

I had the Ziex ZE-502's on mine before the dunlops and I found that they were pretty good on the dry, but in the wet i got found that when trying to go around corners I kept going straight! [Is that over or under steer??]. Espeically when they were starting to get worn.
I now run Dunlop Perfomance FM-901's [Rupe has the same on his hardtop] and i think they're bloody fantastic. So much better than the Falken's That's my 2 cents!! Adam[/colorost_uid0]

Adam and rupe, how is wear going on yours? I found that they are wearing too quickly. My D-01s werent too good in any aspect. Wear was shocking, and the 901s aint much better. Grip is a lot better, but not wear!
Im gonna convert. BF Goodrich Profiler Gs. Good old Yankee rubber should last a few hundred thousand clicks. stuff the wet grip. ::[/colorost_uid0]

i think that type of tyres is abit expensive, plus you cant rotate (left to right, front to back) only front to back....
thats what i have right now on my 18s.[/colorost_uid0] |

my experience is if you got money buy the GRb's cause they wear out real quick... I go through a set every 12month's. they handle like a dream though! I have never once found myself doubting the grip.
My friend has the zeix's on his GTiR and they handle great but not as well as the GRb's but not that much. they are two different car which makes a big difference but I have found they dont have as much traction. I am planning to buy the Zeix cause I cant afford to go through rubber every 12months. and less grip is probably easier on the box in some applications[/colorost_uid0]

Yeah, my 901's are wearing nicley too. Although I don't throw that car around and slide around corners etc. But I've only had them on since May, i think. Not even 10K done on them. But they're great though.

I always just put the lack of traction down to the turbo
and FWD more than the Ziex over the GRb's. I drive like a grey power granny on the way to church in the rain cause on boost in the wet is just scary. Love my car too much to mangle it bad due to being stupid in the rain. Thats scary if the 901's wearfaster than GRb's as they don't last long at all. Open the cheque book now then Dan. xxx[/colorost_uid1]

I think that my Astina that those Ziex's on them since new so I reckon that the Falkens that I had were good for over 50 thousand k's. Mind you i was starting to drive like a granny too in the wet. Crap they were bad towards the end. They only started to get smooth surface on the very edge of the tyre when i changed them.
Gotta love the 901's though. I'm extremely happy. If anyone is going to buy Dunlops though, make sure that they're made in Japan. Australian and other country "Dunlops" are crap supposedly. That's what the dude at Tyrepower told me!! ??? Adam[/colorost_uid0]

Acutally, it's probabily going to be an idea to go pick up the latest MOTOR magazine, TDK. They have their huge tyre test in the mag. It was interesting to see that the Dunlop FM-901's actually won it!! Cool
