I was more suprised with how badly Greece played.
The aussies definatly looked tired towards the end of the second half, all that training is taking it out of them. Lets hope it pays off and they are super fit come June 12.

yeah but greece is nuts about soccer - I would expect there 3rd div team to be able to play on the world stage as a 1st div team in any other country, save the other soccer-nuts countries like brazil or england.

On topic: Yes its true the actual cup games count and then we can criticize and so on.. Yer big congratts on Aus finally making cup ay took u fellas long enuf i THink they gona have real tough games with brazil n japan (i think japs r in same draw).the thing is the aus team isnt experienced and they get real tired quick. i think they need to play a slower game with more passing and teamwork much like in the premier league (go chelsea)..
SOo who to support: since my country didnt make it for 1st time in friggin history then i have no 1 to support. so i mite support aus or japan as they really showing massive competition and i like theyr style of soccer, really great teamwork last world cup. Quote:
I truly apologize for all this to every1 else im sorry u had to read these immature posts,,,, I hope you all tune in for the world cup

No need for that Chimpy. He made a valid comment, if a stirring one. *I feel dirty for defending AstinaBoiv6

I've worked in an evironment where the majority of people were greek and I am sure that if Greece had won then it would have been haled as the greatest victory since Alexander the Great. But they didn't so it's a scramble for the greek population to find any half assed excuse as to the loss.
Australia won there way through to the first round of the world cup (and is unlikely to go any further) so good on them. Greece didn't, get over it.

9 of the 11 players that won Euro 2004 were in the greek side. How does that make them a third string team?

Congrats to the Aussies for the win! Ryan |
