It would be a bit more work but if you were willing you could swap in the JDM tiptronic transmission as well as the FS-ZE as it is controlled by the same ECU

Its looking at around $1300-1600 I think, there is 10 % duty to be paid + AQIS + brokers + ass raping fees and the container/pallet/crate etc.
TBH I have never done a bulk engine import so I am slightly unsure of final costs. When I get more idea of numbers I will make more enquiries, but im waiting for more people as it costs me time and money everytime I chase this up as it is international calls. I have someone in NZ to inspect all engines before being shipped and can even arrange the container.(Gotta love my Sissa and her BF!!!) |

The BJ Familia had the following engine options:
B3-ME 85 HP 1.3L ZL-VE 130 HP 1.5L ZL-DE 110 HP 1.5L FS-ZE 163-168 OR 173 HP 2.0L RF DIESEL 70HP 2.0 And yes the sport20 only came with a FS-ZE, but the ZE was also used in the 626 wagon(capella) |

Very little as it is pretty much a straight swap.
Your existing ECU should have no issues running it. |

Oh I forgot to ask you on Saturday Phil, are we paying for the motors separate from the shipping, and then customs?
Just trying to sort out finances (eg pay off personal loan, living expenses & speeding fine )

The way its planned you will pay for motor and shipping up front then pay customs, aqis etc when they arrive here a month later.
I figured it to be a little more affordable that way. Jared and I have been speaking of travelling to NZ to hand pick motors as I have to go to NZ at the end of March. |

OK sweet, that gives me more then enough time to cough up cash and get the other things needed for when I wanna swap out (radiator, hoses etc etc)
Now to work out how much Jared wants to charge to swap over the motors & when??

It'll be pretty much remove old engine & box, put new engine in with 2 new G/box & rear AWR mounts & new hoses, low temp thermostat & radiator. Im gonna run just the normal FS-DE ECU, and yeah im up for helping (although I imagined I was going to regardless )
