hey mate,
google: tonkin engineering

there an engineering company in adelaide, they have done my rims for me a few months ago, and ive put a few mates onto them too. theyre cool. try to speak to a stuart grovsner. he is the guy who helped me out. it was only about 300ish dollars.
there are a few places that will help with the turboing, but everyone will tell you its lot easier to convert the engine to a bpt.

hope this helps.

the turbo version of the motor in your car. they come out of familias (2 door light-weight bundles of fun )

S13, S14, FC or mx5, that'll get you the performance for a cheap price that you require, better than a BPT...

a B6 is the 1.6L engine in the astinas
a BP is the 1.8L engine in the astinas
a BPT is the 1.8L Turbo engine in the familias

essintially same engine with stronger internals, possible stronger block?

none of those engines will fit. for a start they're all RWD. He was suggesting you sell the astina and buy one of those cars.

NA fc will be slower (110-120Kw)/turbo around the same (135-145kw)
a worked turbo fc will eat a standard BPT conversion for breakfast

you're probably better off selling the astina and buying an S13 with a SR20DET + bolt ons if you want a fast car. if you want a fun car keep the astina and go turbo

Way too much hassle to get a non turbo car converted to a turbo engine & street legal for SA. It's the reason why I didn't go down that path for the MX-5 I used to have, instead opting to get another car (for the time being) while I save up for an MX-5 SE Turbo.

Will a V6 fit?. if so chuck in a klde or klze. Mazda 2.5ltr quad cam all alloy V6. came out in the Ford Telstar, Mazda 626 and the Mazda MX6. the klde is the australian delivered version and it has a little less power than its Jap sister the KLZE.
They are a very good engine and extremely reliable.
