What is the advantage of having a stiffer exhaust hanger ??
I may be interested just pondering if the extra rigidity will cause
negative problems..

Big Mal the hangers are intended for aftermarket exhausts as the material is more durable (urethane) compared to rubber so they will be better suited to a bigger and heavier exhaust. It holds my lukey stainless muff super snugly underneath the chassis and practically no chance of ever scraping it from speed bumps etc. I don't know of any negative effects, haven't heard of any.
