Gday fellas.
Gday guys, New to the forums and thought I'd say a quick Gday.
I recently picked up a nice lookin 97 BA Astina hatchback and will need to research these forums a bit as I have no idea about modding them. Ive always been a Ford man and this is my first non-Ford and my first 4 cylinder for years. Firstly I want to upgrade the headlights.... HID maybe but have no idea which kit. Also want to install an alarm/immobiliser, get a new steering wheel for it (what are my options?), get an amp and sub etc Plus I want to do something about the front doors.... they sound crap when you close them with windows down. Anyways.... I look forward to becoming a regular. Cheers Jason |

G'day!
Very tidy BA you've picked up there. I've always been a fan of white cars that have black rims with a polished lip. It's pretty fitting that you chose an Astina coming from a Ford background, as Astinas have traditionally shared a lot of platforms and parts with Ford Lasers over the years. As for the front doors, does it sound tinny? Mine did, and I solved that by gluing (this) sound deadener to the outer shell. It's pretty easy, all you've got to do is cut your deadener to shape, take off the door cards, glue it on and viola, more solid doors. |

Is that a JDM?
Your tacho redlines 600 RPM higher than mine.

That looks like a 7,600RPM limit and I'm envious
Easiest way to tell is if your VIN starts with JM0BA or CBA8P.

CBA*P is JDM, JMOBA is AUSDM
