The DubMobile
Yo! This car is dubbed as such because of my love for Dub Reggae, Jungle, Chillwave and other forms of weird electronic ****. Anyway, so im going mostly for an interior/sound direction on this car, seeing as its an auto, im not sure whether putting effort into the performance will be worth it. At the end of the day, this is my daily driver and i'd just like to make it look a bit better Or a whole lot better depending on how i go
So heres my lists! XD Stock car Current mods: Engine Pod filter Exterior/Body Exhaust tip (previous owner) Tints (previous owner) 17inch 5spoke wheels Interior Footwell neons (Pink in front, blue in the back) Most people hate these, but i love them! Took out the panelling in bootspace Sound SoundStream 5x7s in front doors Sony 6s in back doors Sony deck Paint Painted rockercover Painted extractor cover/heatshield Painted front grille matte black Future mods: Engine CAI Exterior/Body Lowering (springs or coilovers?) Re-do tints aero wipers aftermarket sidemirrors (one is broken and a spare costs $150, so why not?) bee sting antenna Interior Completely repaint dash/trim etc White dash dials Change dash/aircon lights Replace floor upholstery wth another colour White momo steering wheel Change pedals (they are an embarassing plastic chrome pair atm from supercheap...dont ask) Sound Pioneer deck 5"x7" in the front x2 6" in the back Somehow mount my other pair of 6" on the front doors Pioneer amp 3 subs! For sub bass goodness Paint Repaint badges white replace front badge (someone ripped it out) Possibly paint wheels white Last edited by FairyKitty; 06-09-2012 at 01:32 AM. |

Nice one, I'm hopefully picking up a mica black SP20 later this week and can officially join the club
Mat Mat, regarding the CAI would this ridiculously cheap one do anything (considering you could lengthen the pipe)? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/99-03-Pro...#ht_3437wt_983 |

Whats the difference betwen the K&N Typhoon kit and a cheap one? I know it sounds stupid, but they both look like theyre made out of the same thing. Build quality?

Answering my own question/but I'm probably wrong ...
The Injen CAI is also a similar price to the K&N Typhoon. Apart from better quality, both have had more (dyno) testing, and more solidly attach to the engine bay. The cheap one looks a lot shorter and potentially will suck in warmer air (unlike the more expensive kits that suck air under the wheel arch) ... but still, it's a fraction of the price What other chillwave bands you like FairyKitty? I've just got into Chad Valley here ... Last edited by Byrd; 15-08-2012 at 01:06 PM. |
